A window into darkness
Sets me away from the world rushing by
When lights and flashing jolt me upright
And the horn once so distant now enveloping
I take this time and look out
Into the inky night
The moon hides from me now
It would rather sleep itself
But I lay here
Taking stock of the motion
Feeling time be my friend
Even though it too wants to speed away
And leave me motionless
But this train keeps going
And a window into darkness remains.
